BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President: Lucas Jones is a flutist and founder of FLUTES4KIDS. He is completing his Bachelor of Music Performance at the University of North Florida, where he serves as principal flutist of the UNF Symphony and performs with the Jacksonville Youth Orchestra.
Lucas is also an active church musician and performs regularly at senior living communities.
Secretary: Gia Sastre is a classical flutist who has been blessed to perform as a freelance soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, and orchestral player for the last 25+ years.
As an educator, Ms. Sastre works with many dedicated and talented students as professor of flute at the University of North Florida, through her private studio, and as a masterclass clinician.
Ms. Sastre is recent performer, adjudicator, and masterclass chair for the Florida Flute Association, holds a Master of Music in flute performance from DePaul University, a Bachelor of Music in flute performance from Florida State University, and is Suzuki flute certified.
Treasurer: Kimberly Adkins is a passionate leader in elementary music education with over 37 years of experience.
Based in South Florida, she serves as the Elementary Music Educator at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, where she has developed a vibrant PreK–6 curriculum integrating music theory, history, performance, and technology.
A graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Music Education (K–12), Kimberly is certified by the Florida Department of Education and ACSI.Guided by faith, she strives to inspire others through the power of music.

Shae Legacy Scholarship
The Shae Legacy Scholarship honors exceptional flutists who exemplify the values Mary Shae lived by: selfless service to others and a dedication to advancing their musical education.
Educational Development Grant
The Educational Development Grant is designed to support flutists seeking to enhance their musical education through conventions, masterclasses, workshops, and other educational programs.
Young Artist Scholarship
The Young Artist Scholarship is to assist young musicians in purchasing their next upgrade flute or covering repair costs for their current instrument, and attending symphony orchestra concerts ensuring they can continue their musical journey with the tools they need to succeed.
