ABOUT US

Our Story

President, Lucas Jones

The origins of FLUTES4KIDS began with one powerful act of generosity during my high school years.

After I shared my dream of starting a marching band at Calvary Christian Academy, Mary Shea donated more than $25,000 in just 24 hours to make it possible.

Her compassion and dedication to supporting education and the arts inspired the creation of FLUTES4KIDS. Guided by her legacy, we continue her mission—empowering young flutists to pursue their education, performance, and musical dreams.

What We Do

Sponsor Masterclasses

Masterclasses are one of the most powerful learning experiences a young flutist can have. Performers get one-on-one coaching from a professional while playing in front of a live audience, and everyone in the room learns along the way. We believe masterclasses are one of the most effective ways to bring high-level music education to students who might not otherwise have access to it.

Create Performance Opportunities

Every flutist deserves a chance to perform. Each year, FLUTES4KIDS launches a new performance initiative, and each one is designed to put young flutists on stage and help them grow as performers. Our 2027 initiative is in the works, so stay tuned!
